How to reach WI 2015 and how to be on the move in Osnabrück


All conference locations are in walking distance and in direct proximity to Osnabrück’s city center. Due to the excellent transport infrastructure, all places are comfortably reachable by bus, train or bike.Please consult the internet timetable information service www.fahrplaner.de if you wish to use public transport. The conference ticket entitles the participants to use public transportation in Osnabrück / Belm (zone 100) from 02.03.2015 to 03.06.2015. Taxis can be booked by phone (0541 32011 - central taxi service or 0541 27027 - minicar service), via the internet at www.taxi.de or by means of the “mytaxi-App”.

By train: Ideally, you travel by train using the „Osnabrücker Veranstaltungsticket” which is provided in cooperation with Deutsche Bahn AG. That way, you travel comfortably and at a favorable price. Additionally, you actively contribute to climate protection as the electricity required is gained from renewable energies. The ticket (round trip) from any DB railway station to Osnabrück costs € 99 when travelling economy class and € 159 when travelling first class. By plane: The Münster-Osnabrück International Airport (FMO) can be reached by car (motorway 1) in 25 minutes or by airport shuttle (route X150) in about 40 minutes. By car: Coming from the Ruhr area: Follow motorway 1 up to interchange “Lotter Kreuz”; turn over to motorway 30 in the direction of Hannover. Take the exit “Osnabrück-Hellern” and follow the signage to Osnabrück’s city center. By following the roads “Kurt-Schumacher-Damm”, “Martinistraße” and “Neuer Graben”, you will reach the venue as well as the underground car park “Ledenhof”. Coming from Hannover or the Netherlands: Follow motorway 30; take the exit “Osnabrück-Hellern” and follow the signage to Osnabrück’s city center. By following the roads “Kurt-Schumacher-Damm”, “Martinistraße” and “Neuer Graben”, you will reach the venue as well as the underground car park “Ledenhof”. Only vehicles with valid emissions stickers (green) may enter the area.
